The I.T.C. races are going on the same weekend as well...they take a lot of time in the schedule (1.5 hours each day) but should be some fun racing to watch....

Yeah, I seen that. What the hell are those? I guess they're all Porsche Caymans?

I believe there are 2 groups, 09+ and 08 or before. It's something that NASA is involved in to try to create a spec series for the Cayman and an additional ladder for racer development.

http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...-cayman-s.html

Not sure how big the fields are (which will make for how fun it could be to watch-5 cars on track for an hour could put people to sleep). A buddy of mine purchased a used Cayman Interseries race car and was eventually going to try to get it spec'd to see if he could run it with this NASA series; the engineering on the Interseries car is nuts....

Nice! I'll be stopping in Friday early afternoon to see the practice sessions for a bit. Maybe sneak out in a car for some passenger fun if anyone has a spare seat

Hell, you can take my car out disguised as me (we all look the same in a race suit, sunglasses and a helmet ) and give me some suspension set up pointers

It sucks. If your lucky they'll practice/qualify with the faster race group. The race itself? 50 minutes watching FOUR....yes that's right, 4 whole cars. On one of the days both weekends they were with us, only 2 ran..... To add to that technically only the white/orange team has any decent speed, almost half a lap past the others, so you get to watch the teammates do laps....boring as sh*t and a waste of our precious track time. But the officials said they wrote the check...Grrrr.

Can't we just throw them into one of the other race groups?

Too bad...was afraid of that...They have their own practice sessions (not with the Thunder Group) and race time separate from everyone else; 1.5 hours per day in total. Feel bad for the HPDE & TT guys that get stuck at the end of the day and don't finish up until 6:30

I remember just a few years ago I was able to park right by the Goodyear tower with no problem. Now, I have to leave my house at 5:30am just to park on the grass! This event has taken off like crazy.

Anyway, I'll be there Sat and Sun.
