NASA NE - Poconos

We are heading up to this HPDE/ TT/ Race event on July 15-17th. NASA NE does a nice job and so you can expect that it's going to be a great time.

I like the North Course, a little like Lime Rock, though a bit faster and flatter. last year I ran a :58.3. They are also running the single infield long course., which should be interesting.

On a separate but related note, if you are in the Mays Landing area and heading over to the Poconos please PM me and let me know as I have a favor to ask. I'll make it worth it for you though. Thanks

Here is a good video of the North Course. Did 57.8 back in 2007.

Hope to be there early Friday. I am getting back in the car after 10 months off. Pocono north is a good course to start and then build speed through the weekend on the other two.

Car had about 450whp on pump gas and meth injection to keep it cool. It was very hot that day. Was running very old NT01's, a crappy suspension that was too soft. With more setup time the car had 56's in it. The track was a little wet so I didn't want to push it too hard around the banking.

Lot's of power but damn fast either way. Too much juice for TTS work, unless you weigh 3600lbs. I think we are running North on Friday but then the long course on Sat and Sunday, so North for a bit but then lots of straights...

Beautiful weather on all three days. I won the TTS class on both days though didn't have many competitors. I spent most of the days chasing a TTU Z06 driven by a former Grand Am driver. We were driving the single infield long course and the Evo is at a distinct disadvantage compared to a lower profile car like the Corvette. Had a great time and turned a 1:32, which wasn't too bad. The new concrete bump slows things down dramatically. It was great to see everybody.
