2011 NASA nationals at Midohio.....

It rained all morning. It slowed down around lunchtime and the track started to dry out around 1-2pm. There seemed to be a car each session put it into the wall on the last lap! Which caused a subsequent delay and we ran a solid 15min behind schedule at least - which is rare for NASA.
We'll see how the weather shakes out Friday.
No Evo drama to speak of; I think we all held it together. Hoops set a personal best and leads TTU, I'm in 2nd of 13 in TTA, Upham finished 7th of like 16 in his ST2 qualifying race with Fazzino in front of him and Whit behind him... I think.

I still say we should all try for dinner/drinks sometime. SO, I'm saying Friday night. Meet at my paddock spot; in the bottom of the middle paddock by T1. I know Upham, Whit and Jim all know where it's at. Hoops is right next to me. Others welcome...
I'll text ya guys.
Beer...

Hahahahahaha
The event seems to be going good. As far as the race group goes on st-2 we have the three evos which finished 5th, 7th, and 17th. David got 5th and I had 7th, we both ran in the 1:34's. Whit ended up 17th due to an accident in the key hole. I was behind him when it happend. He lost brakes and tagged an m3. It was also loss for brakes due to friction not over heating, he simply needs a more aggressive pad. Luckily everyone was alright and not major car issues.
The worst part of this race was we qualified in rain and some some of the cars that qualified high had a hard time in the dry.

It was a little general, we all know Dave's been going fast longer then most of us have had a driver license, but he was pointing out the key difference between a Race driver and a Time Trial driver. Good luck to everyone, stay on those vette's **** and capitalize on their mistakes!

Hate everywhere, ignorance too. Not wanting to sit around in the rain and drive half normal speeds doesn't make me less of a driver big boy.
Anyway, I'm personally having a blast. I can't wait to get on track and run each time. It's been a rough year and I stuck to it this long because I really wanted to give Nationals a shot.
Thursday I was pulled out during impound and put across the scales because of my times. I was nearly 100 pounds over weight. Today I ran a new course record and put myself in 1st, they pulled me out again, sent me across the scales and then did a complete inspection of the car. Three other guys were DQ'd. I made it through without a problem. I am actually 5 points away from my class limit and 90'ish pounds over the minimum weight. I am running A6's and do not like them as much as the C51's I was running. I seem to be fastest 4-5 laps in and by then the A6's are greasy. I will switch to R6's in the future. Nice talking to amlot of you guys this weekend. Jarrod AWESOME time today! WOW! Good luck everyone.

Great driving today David. A new personal best and new track record, correct? Keep it up - two more days of racing left! I am starting fresh from scratch tomorrow. I'll post the details in my NASA Nationals thread. . .
Also, just want to throw a plug in here - David from DHP Composites stopped by the track today to talk with everyone and see how things were going. The fastest laps so far in TTS (Pure Tuning) and TTU (me) and the 2nd fastest in TTR (Team Nobama) are all running DHP Composites aero bits!
