yeah i saw something like this in my research. I do not want to go door to door.

so that was one of the main reason why i send an email to them. our ice race what we did , either was a rally cross style -4-6 cars at a time or time trial style 2 cars on the track once , with 20 sec difference.

The rally cross style had always damages on the cars, sometimes heavy. So i am not looking forward to that.

I hope it will work out for us. Another thing is , i am worry about my 18"inch tires with stud's, i hope i can raise the car safely to the point which i will not saw to pieces my fenders ... LOL

I was at the shop today so we talked about it . I might even be able to bring up some ex ice race winner up there from the early 2000.

i have 4 tires already on the bright side.

i run 225/40-18's on evo 8/9/10, they dont rub at all. I've ran them on stock suspension evos as well as some mildly lowered ones.

i have changed email, with one of the organizer up in Lake Placid area. Looks like we have a green light to go. Now i just have to do planning about dates - accommodations - set up change, etc.

I hope will work out , after februaty 26th ( fun run at NJMP)

we still doent even have a snow flakes around us... The guy from the ice racing club said they might even have to cancel more events. Anyway i am looking around march 18th to get on the ice. I hope i dont have to travel for my job around there.

amazing pics! The video is just insane... It looks so fun, I wish they did that around here, it's one more set of tires for the Evo!

I ran a couple of events with AMEC at the close of the 2010-2011 season. I learned about it from a post here. It was some of the most fun I've ever had in the 'ole Evo. Learned a lot about car control and got very comfortable with the car being sideways. It was also the first wheel-to-wheel racing I've ever done.

Unfortunately this season has been mild and I have decided to retire the Evo from winter driving. I'll be using a my Forester beater next season. Glad to hear they might allow studded tires next year
