If my upcoming Cusco front diff doesn't fix my hopping issue, maybe I'll give the ACD-Tuning a try.

Maybe we can swap diff controllers some time so we can both test it back to back vs. the OEM controller. . .

Glad you kept it out of any tires/wall/other when the brakes gave up.

Too bad the AP BBK would mess up your TTA/PTA deal.

I don't think the AP kit has been proven a total win quite yet. We'll need to get some more results with it . . .

with the acd tune loosening up the rear even further, theoretically if you run an even bigger bar until the rear's grip is back to where you prefer, will the overall level of grip theoretically be higher?

Exciting weekend! Holy crap! haha I'm glad you kept the car under control and didn't have a "real" mishap!

Also was glad to hear the tune/parts are working well! We need to talk about the ACD flash.

Don't forget that you have the ability to control the settings. Tarmac is not as loose as gravel and gravel is not as loose as snow. That's the beauty of the three maps to choose from- you should have the correct map for whatever scenario you are in. If you are feeling if your car is too loose, then go down a map. If you feel your car is not rotating enough, go up a map.

Matt

After the brake issues on Saturday, I put on a different RF caliper and switched over to TT for Sunday.

So Sunday I ran TTS to play with both Jeremy and Jeff! Running wider and grippier A6 tires, I ran a personal best of 131.666 on the day. The cart felt soooo much faster with this tire setup, as proven by the times.

Brakes were good all day. I had started the day with but much osf left up front, but oddly enough it was NOT an issue. And I ran 4 sessions on them even... popping then out at lunch to doublecheck.

Lots of pics and vid to follow next week. I'm out of town until then.

Here's some pics from the car I was scheduled to co-drive last Friday in the NASA Autobahn 3-hr Enduro. As I mentioned, the engine - which was a brand new build - let go about 15min into the first stint negating me Enduro debut. We've got a few more Enduro's scheduled later in the summer so hopefully we'll be back at it in the Porsche 944.

Here's the vid from my first race in the Evo. It's the green flag and first lap. I'm not sure why, but once we got in formation - we just took off! I was already in 4th when the green flag flew, so I'll have to get myself more prepared for a range of starting speeds.

Our wave is the entire SU/ST1/ST2 field. My car is actually PTA, but I played with this higher group on the weekend because of the larger field. There was also tons of oil on the track during quals (got vid later) that forced them to end qualifying early after just 3 oil-filled laps.

So, besides being a bit behind with the green, I catch up but the faster SU/ST1/ST2 field pulls away from me. I battle with the blue ST2 Vette for a few laps until I started falling off and a few laps after that is when I had the caliper issue that caused a nasty off and my retirement from the race. At least I can say I didn't finish last in the ST2 field!

I emailed a couple directly, but for those that track their cars - what have you done with the dust shields?

I had some people last year here recommend I remove or at least cut/reduce them to help facilitate airflow. If it weren't for the ABS sensors, I'd have already chucked them. So help protecting that sensor from heat is my only concern.

Opinions?
