I'm all packed and ready to go. Hopefully we can just block off a area to get us all in. I'm good at having a very messy pit area that spills into other spots.
See you guys at the track!
And i will bring plenty of beer. Because racing is nothing without beer afterwards.

Just a quick update - I won TTU and set a new all-class NASA track record for Autobahn South with a 1:27.4.
Jeremy won TTS in his first time ever to the Autobahn! Way to go!!
Nathan had a brake failure that put him out of his race. Ryan had an engine failure I believe that also put him out of the race.
Some highs, some lows, but still more racing to come tomorrow!

I had a great day and had a blast having a good battle with Jeff in his EVO. And Jarrod is just insanely fast(and broke a record)! His good tires really do work
I'll let the other Evo's tell there stories. Nathan has some good footage of his trip to check out some acerage out in the back fields.
There is one that went up in a cloud of smoke unfortunatly.
Oh, and i did actaully win my class today. . Its a tricky track to learn but i'm getting the hang of it with some advice from Nathan and Jarrod, and having Jeff show me around for a few sessions.

^^ Yeah Jarrod was f'in flyin. It's difficult to explain how fast a 1:27x is at Autobahn; but lets just say that a few years back with Crawford's STI and AMS TA-X were running there they topped out 1:26x times. Keep in mind those were shop builds with professional drivers (Tarzan in the STi for god's sake).
Jeremy picked up the track very quickly. He and Jeff were running nose-to-tail nearly every session and no doubt helping each other out. He ended up with a 1:31x I think in TTS. Very quick.
I did have a leaky caliper that not doubt quickened my brake issues in the race. Only 6 laps in I had pedal to the floor and a very nasty off - but in a good spot. I'll have to check the data but I'm assuming 100+ mph when I left the track waiting for the weeds to slow me down...
In the same race - I heard (not sure) that Ryan was fighting some brake issues then might have lost the engine.

What an awesome day!! I had a blast playing chase most the day with Jeremy. Awesome accomplishment on learning the track so fast. Way to go man!
Nathan put it exactly right on trying to describe the lap time Jarrod put down. INSANELY fast....great job.
Where did you find 2 seconds in that last session anyways Jeremy? Must have borrowed Jarrod's "fast tires" for that last run.
Maybe he'll let me borrow them tomorrow.

I have two sets - you can each borrow them and then battle it out!!
They are 285's though, so they cost more points than the 275's.
Jeremy has come to NASA from Hillclimbs, so I think he has become an expert at learning a course quickly. Getting to follow your for a few sessions Jeff sure helped a bunch, though. That's how I try to learn a new track - follow someone who is already fast to get the line down. Following Danny and Todd at MidOhio sure helped me a BUNCH!

I'm really not sure where i gained it all. I do have a traqmate so i will find out. (altho i forgot the card in the car so i can't even look tonight). My guess is turn 1,2,3, 4,5 ummm, all of them! I really did push the car alot harder to see how far i could go in some of those turn. I still don't have all of them quite right.
I think the car would do 1:29's if you could nail it.

Gotta learn from the master, that's what I always say. Or at least that's what I'm saying right now!
Crazy to think that at this time last year I was still in HPDE3!!
