Don't feel bad, we all went through the same thing. My first tour I made it about 15 feet off the start line on my first run before I did a full 360 spin and stalled it. Everyone watching started clapping while I was restarting the car. This weekend I damn near did the same thing. hahaha

I can't wait for the pro!

You and Tasha did a great job driving that monster. I really wish you guys could've added to the STU excitement though. Boy was that great competition.

Oh god! The 1st tour is the worst! It gets way easier! Now they are like local events for me lol.

I wanna hear more about the tire mess up! Sounds hilarious!

Here are my videos:
Saturday:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dk_Dp5WE7Kc&hd=1
I mis-shifted going back to 2nd on the downhill near the end. Ended up coasting in 4th until I could correct it.

Sunday:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a49dyT4pyCk&hd=1

Lessons I learned:
1. You don't have to brake nearly as much going uphill
2. There's a whole lot more grip out there than you probably think, don't brake when a lift or flat-out WOT will suffice.
3. Correct line choice is everything, and it's definitely harder to drive the line you've walked when there are elevation changes involved.
4. Don't get sucked in by cleverly placed pointer or slalom cones.
5. Just relax and have fun

Interesting to note that I left it in 3rd to the finish on saturday and the data says it was basically a wash between Tom, who down shifted back to 2nd, and me. and we have the tiny 2.0 motor.

Well...my codriver had a pretty good shot at winning SM at the Pro, even on old, worn out tires, until we destroyed the front diff this afternoon and ended our weekend. Oh well, so it goes...

Nice video. The tires look HUGE on the car in that shot. You guys still running 285's? Are those 10.5" wheels?

Was it a stock front diff?

Sucks it broke I watched it break in the timing trailer. Lots of revs and popping from the exhaust, one odd noise at the launch...then it all got quiet
