SCCA Solo San Diego National Tour/El Toro ProSolo 4/27-29 & 5/4-6

National Tour: http://www.scca.com/events/index.cfm?eid=3597
ProSolo: http://www.scca.com/events/index.cfm?eid=3598

Anyone here going? I'll be making the trip down for both my first Tour and first ProSolo.

I'd love to get some ProSolo pointers from some of the veterans out there, and just meet people from the forum in general.

Rich

SD tour=yes
El toro pro=HELL YES!

I love running pro solo's. The evo is such a perfect platform for drag launches followed by autox racing. Not a lot of other cars that do over 1G in all directions.

Definitely let me know if you have any questions, i'd be glad to help out.

See you in SD Marshall. I am hoping that the changes we have made to the car will help challenge you and Tom.

Looking forward to it! Are you ever going to talk your kid into flying out and racing with us? It's not like san diego or el toro are bad places to *have* to hang out.

I feel like a little kid knocking on your door. "Mr. Miller can Aaron come out and play?"

Ill be at the Pro co-driving the driving a Porsche 914 with a subaru 2.0 turbo swap and now Lotus elise suspension fully grafted in. I did the design for all the geometry on the arms and push-rod suspension so I headed down for some testing.

Theyll be there for the Tour without me.

That sounds like a freaking awesome ride!

Wish I could make it that far west. Got a ton of racing commitments already this year though.

I'll be in SSM since there were no SM entrants.

Aaron will be at Lincoln, probably at Blytheville and definitely at Peru and Toledo. You are welcome to come out and play. San Diego is just too far to travel from Michigan for a weekend event.

hey Rich, it was great to meet you and I couldn't possibly THANK YOU ENOUGH for asking us about our 'odd' choice of tires when the ladies were gridded next to you in SSM. In one fell swoop you transformed my weekend!

R6<A6

so the back story is that the custom wheels they had made were ordered and confirmed, and reaffirmed to include a set of mounted A6's... we mounted them up on the car late Friday night after the test and tune and never noticed they got the order wrong and they weren't in fact A6's.... Sunday comes along and what do ya know?!? ****.... lol. Great weekend regardless.

It was great meeting you guys too. I'm glad I could help out. I simply asked Eric, "Hey, do you guys run R6s just to cope with the weight of the car?" His response was priceless. "What do you mean, they're A6s...*gasp*"

You and Tasha did a great job driving that monster. I really wish you guys could've added to the STU excitement though. Boy was that great competition.

All I can say of my own performance is: Wow, that was an eye opener. I really let my nerves get to me and I wasn't on my game at all. Oh well, now I've got my first tour in the books. Hopefully I can put on a better showing at the Pro this weekend.
