That's the real killer there. Would love to drive like him, even though I hate him. He's pretty much killed WRC single handedly. No one wins unless he retires or has serious problems and even then he still limps home in the top five...

I'm just hoping that a real driver is going to come in and shut up all those extreme sport turned "pro" driver fanboys up! Lol

I don't think the driver can take full credit. Just like with F1 when Schumacher was racing with Ferrari, he was a fantastic driver but he didn't single handedly dominate the F1 game. Racing is a team effort, the dynamic of the team (everyone involved, racers, engineers, water bottle hander outers) plays a massive part in their success.

I agree to some extent. There are a few differences though. In the ferrari case the car/team was so far in front of others that Barichello got in that car and looked like a star. Citroen has had a bunch of other 2nd drivers during his reign that never looked like much even though they had the same car/team. Barichello also had team orders in some cases to let Schumi win...Loeb's never needed them. I don't remember the year but Citroen pulled out and he took a previous year's spec car to a championship that says that there might be something a little bit more special about him.

I think changing the driver is changing the biggest part of a team, so having a different driver effectively changes the team and affects the dynamic. There has been discussion about team orders from Citroen during the WRC NZ, but nothing confirmed.

I'm not trying to argue, everyone has their own opinions
