Peter Malaszuk and Dominik Jozwiak were OK. SS1 claimed 4 rally cars. werner/burke rolled as well but landed wheels down and kept on goin. donnelly/ollerenshaw and egan/lankas tagged trees but were OK.

Like i said earlier, Day 1 was a tough day and proved to be quite the attrition rally for AWD cars. I forgot to mention that Eric Wages/Sarah Montplaisir blew their motor, and Steven Czwalga/Steven Czwalga barely made it off stage 1 with rear differential failure. Martin Donnelly/Jason Ollerenshaw led the rally in their open class evo until an off on day1.
We also had a difficult rally between mechanical setbacks and road penalties. Just didn't have time to give the car a proper shakedown before the event. Ended up off pace day 1, with over 4 minutes of penalties. This put us 14th overall out of 27 starters.
Don't call it a comeback. On day 2, we set off to correct the pace. Clawed our way from 14th overall to 4th overall. Over 8 stages, we took 2 minutes back from the AWD leader, Hollen Groff/Aris Mantopoulous, passing them on stage 15 to take the overall AWD win in our stock heavy class evo.
I also want to congratulate fellow evom member r.m.s. Black River stages was their first rally; they finished their car just a few hours before tech, and finished 3rd in Open AWD class. An outstanding start to their rally careers!
Our next rally will be Sep 28-29 in Prescott, AZ where Black Box rally team will be contesting the United States Rally Championship. (http://www.prescottrally.com)
