Why is clutch pedal not coming up after full power acceleration?

Edit** Bled clutch line. Air out. Thanks forum members.

My clutch started acting funny yesterday and it continued today. Only after full boost power acceleration (roll-ons), the clutch pedal will not return from floor? I can't engage the next gear until I pull it up with my foot then press again? It works perfectly under normal conditions and mild acceleration runs. I recently had it adjusted so it would engage sooner (closer to floor) verse near the end of it's return.

Clutch brand is Competition clutch stage 3.5 and is newer with just a few thousand miles on it. My car is making 556hp at 28psi.

Where do I start to find solution?
* bleed clutch
* re-oil something
* binding lines?

Sorry I have no solution to your problem, but I wouldn't recommend adjusting the clutch to engage too far down. The evo naturally prefers a high engagement point for clean shifts.

Good luck!

Thanks for help and appreciate the link. I was hoping for a full page of expert advice this morning when I woke up. Maybe I will try and adjust clutch back up high again. Thanks.

Sounds to me like there is somehow air in the clutch system. I would recommend a good bleed with fresh fluid....also maybe some ss clutch lines...they are cheap and the time to do it is right before a bleed.

Good tip. Bleeding clutch line tomorrow. Priced master cylinder and slave cylinder today just in case. I hope air in the lines is all it is. Already have the SS clutch line. Thank you!
