Closeups of an Indycar and C7.R

Figured anyone interested in Motorsports would like a good look at some top-level race cars. Mods, feel free to move if this isn't the right place.

Beautiful photography.

It's amazing to note that the difference between the production engine and the race engine:

the C7.R gets a naturally aspirated 5.5L engine burning E85 compared to the production Z06 which gets a 625hp, supercharged 6.2L. Even with the smaller displacement, the C7.R race engine breathes through a pair of restrictors.
The level of power available in an off-the-shelf, sub-$100K car these days is incredible.

Need to find out more about their quick-connect brake lines. During the race they took the calipers right off, I think they swapped them with another set. They supposedly get zero air bubbles.

Yep. Google "dry-break brake lines"; cool stuff.
