Swapping between different Hawk Pads

Swapping between different Hawk Pads
Just wondering if anyone has done this on their vehicle as I don't 100% trust manufacturers.
As I've gotten tickets or loud brakes, I prefer to swap pads between track days. With limited resources (garage) in Brooklyn, I try to keep the amount of work between days to a minimum... so I'm considering running Hawk HPS for street, and Hawk DT-60 for track. But if I bed the rotors with the DT-60's, would running HPS in between have a negative effect on my rotors even though it's the same manufacturer?
bless you all

Hold the phones...did you say you've received ticket(s) for loud brakes? Is that even a thing?
On to your point what, I understand you not wanting to take Hawks info as they are clearly bias but what did they say?

LoL, can't say I've heard of that either. But pad material/compound is different between every pad even in the same family so yes you'll need to properly bed them in between swaps and you should be fine. The 60's of course will wear out the rotor faster then the HPS's (which squeak too btw). I guess you would be correct in assuming that scrubbing the rotor between pad materials would provide some excessive wear, but that's the point, you need to wear off old transfer so the new compound works as intended. But it's not like it's going to take whole MM's off.

swapping within the same family is at least better than going from, say Hawk DTC 70 to Pep Boys. you should be fine.
but seriously: where do you live where you can be ticketed for squeaky brakes???

The only 100% successful story I have for swapping from/to a street/race setup is to swap rotors AND pads together.
Cold stops on race pads essentially "un-bed" the brakes.

I've gotten 4 tickets for loud exhaust, and once was stopped for my brakes, but then "I'm just going to give you a general noise citation for your brakes and exhaust". Which every citation is mandatory court appearance because it's a criminal offense and not traffic. So now I have an exhaust for the track, and a Fujitsubo for street. Need to do same with the brakes.

i swap between dtc 60's and stoptech streets. i dont do much street driving so i dont bother bedding the stoptechs when i throw them on. there is a noticeable lack of bite though. i do however always bed the 60's before going to the track, and after one session they are where they should be.
