English Racing - 1/2mi Racing - Shift-S3ctor

Whats up all

We've been quiet, but we've been busy! Claimed some world records 2 weeks ago at Shift-S3ctors 1/2mi Airstrip Attack event, with one our customers/race partners Lease-Locators Racing (LLR) & the EvoX.

To simply put it, the Evo 8 was absolutly Incredible! Couldn't keep the cameras off of it, and it showed up Race! It did a top speed of 202mph in the 1/2mi, then came back and pulled out another 200mph pass. Holding the new World Record in the 1/2 mile.

Meanwhile we've been quiet with the EvoX just simply due to getting the 8 built up and refreshed from the last race, but we never forgot her! The Evo X pulled out a a top speed of 181mph. Not sure if that's a world record or not for the X but, I believe it is. I can't find anything else for a 1/2mi record. (maybe if someone knows, please share)

And simply for your viewing pleasures, here's Lease Locators GT-R, built by English Racing & powered by Extreme Turbo Systems, doing back to back 223mph passes, pulling in that world record.

And Luke's damn life flashing experience spinning out at 220mph in the Extreme Turbo Systems GT-R while testing out the new Front Facing Turbo Setup.

note to self: add a wing!

Enjoy!

Eye opening performance.
I saw these cars on Saturday, and its hard to process the speed they achieve in short distance.

Although there is driving skill involved, what is impressive to me and the reason for spectating is that the event showcases the capability of shops to build perfect-cars for the job: anything not quiet right will show up and ruin the day under such strain.

Clearly English Racing knows a "thing or two" how to make cars make power, reliably, and deploy it safely, while maintaining aerodynamic stability, and stop at the end: braking from 220mph in limited space is quiet an impressive task in itself. And all while strong side wind is challenging stability.
