Maxing Out Stock Cooling

Sorry if there is a thread already on this - I've seen some for what aftermarket parts to get, but not much on what to do before then. I've got an Evo that's mostly stock power level, looking to max out the stock cooling system - is there much I can do besides swapping coolant for water + water wetter? i.e., any parts that should be heat foil wrapped, that kind of thing?

In my car I run 85/15% water/coolant, and water wetter.

Depends on where you live too, climate wise.

Thanks for the input - I may do the same once we enter the solidly summer months (June-Aug)

I'm in STL - we get unusually hot and humid for the summer, relatively speaking. Was mild the last couple though.

Nothing in particular that needs to be wrapped? i.e., intercooler piping, etc.?

You can keep the radiator, oil cooler, all that stock. The only aftermarket I still have is the radiator itself due to leaks. But you just need real airflow in order to 100% utilize them. So in your case you can wire the two fans to the existing leads so they come on and off automatically. I prefer manual on/off, esp if you don't need them during street drives, but want them during track days or cool down's.
