Or you could just go AEMInf...because SM right .

Car runs great on stock ecu plus tephra, so why spend the money? I found the tune definitely impacted the ability to turn over the motor when hot. Take a few degrees timing out and problem solved.

All true, though AEM for features really. I remember running the v1.0 of the SD hack + tephra on e85. That was very fun to start .

I'm actually trying to decide whether to switch to AEM or stick with stock ecu + tephra and SD right now

Me too, I have yet to hear any compelling reason to run SD over MAF.

For SD the part throttle killed it for me. I like the "idea" of it, and less parts to break/go bad, but it wasn't mature enough then. But for AEM if I wanted a different map for crank, then for different temps, elevations, conditions all live with a slew of inputs then the AEM would rock. If you want to geek that level and squeeze every ounce.

I've been on SD since early 2014... I don't have anything to really say about it, either bad or good. I'm just considering AEM because of the nerd in me and all the little things you can log/control. Since my biggest focus is reliability/longevity, I was really interested in creating as many failsafes as possible and I like the idea of being able to tie the turbo shaft speed sensor from my EFR into the ecu

Part throttle control is key. I spent a lot of time on those maps, especially as power levels at WOT reached real SM territory.

Yeah we spent a lot of time part throttle tuning on the dyno and street as well. A lot of tuners don't take the time to get that detailed. Then again, a lot of owners aren't as particular as us.

I did nothing other than give it to Aaron at ER other than add in some boost by tps and cold cranking adjustment.

Boost by TPS? Are you running an EMS or the stock the ECU?

Stock ECU, there's a map for throttle vs wgdc that Aaron was nice enough to send me. That alone literally transformed driveability.

Along that note, talking with MRFred here we might work on something relating to an addition wgdc control for steering angle too.

Yeah wgdc vs tps map. You gotta set up the load control tables to not override the wgdc reduction at part throttle, too.

Wgdc vs steering angle would be wierd... that's what my foot is for!
