OEM Springs vs Swift Springs Autocross

So since my kyb struts are bad I'm going to swap them out with a set of other kyb struts I purchased a little while back. My current struts have swift springs on them. The new set of struts have oem springs on them. I never drove the evo with the oem springs before. I'm thinking about putting in the struts and leaving the oem springs on them to understand the feeling of the evo suspension in its original form. I do auto cross so I was wondering what am I to expect on oem springs compared to swifts? I'm not at it to try to get fastest time of the day or anything, more of just a learning experience.

If you have autocross experience, I would skip the OEM springs. If you're a complete newbie, stock will work.

Either way, if you're just having fun, do whatever makes you happy. You won't be very competitive unless you want to race in the stock class.

I'm running pilot super sports so I will never beat the guys running re-71's in my class. Of course I do it because it's fun but would like to learn something off of it. But again would like to know the expected result from doing this from people that actually have run oem springs onto something else. All other suspension pieces/components are stock.

Swift springs lower the car too much so while they may be stiffer you'll get a ton more dive on the outside front tire due to roll couple. I would stick to GTWorks springs if theyre still available since they are about the same rate but only slightly lower than stock (around an inch IIRC).

Now comparing the GTworks to Stock springs, no comparison. Pair it with a whiteline 24mm rear bar (22 is too small in general and 26mm is too big for you) and maybe the front Cusco adjustable bracket and it would be an amazing daily/autox toy.

Don't forget to fix the rear diff.
