Tried that too, they still fall out, twist or off the car esp when you're by yourself for some reason lol. Front's an issue too esp on that couch side. Frustrating to the point WHERE we end up here making proper solutions. Would you not rather do it all from one spot instead of crawling all around the car?

Got some time on my hands and nedeed some shop time to relax from the daily grind... Decided to fix some things that are bothering me about my dry sump project...
The idea was to run a twin stage scavenge pump from the alternator belt... like this..
I was never happy with the pulley, as it is large and hans on a 12mm pump shaft. I calculated the force on the shaft and its bearing (taking into account the belt tension and the angle of belt on the pulley) and it was ok-ish but I was not comfortable with the safety factor... After some consideration I decided to add a large bearing that will transfer the forces onto the pump body directly...
Started with a large hunk of 7075..
ended with this... a small sleeve that fits onto the pump, and carries a 45x75x10 mm ball bearing
Still need to machine the keyway and the groove for the belt, but looks promising now..
