I'm not sure if he's making Voltex splitters but @ayoustin makes splitters and sells Professional Awesome splitter accessories to go with them.

Yea I've made a splitter for a Voltex rep bumper. The customer is no longer using it so he may be interested in selling. Or I can work with 9 Lives Racing about using my template to make you a splitter. @Balrok

Prototype brackets for the rear brakes came in the other day. Excited to get these tested so Wunderladen Racing can offer them to the community soon!

I know its a bit of a newer platform over in the states despite being an older generation, but do you have any splitters designed out for Evo V yet?

Nice work on the rear brackets too.

Thanks!

Unfortunately no. I've only done splitters for the 8, 9 and Voltex front ends on the CT9A and the X. If someone comes to me looking for a design who is local I'd happily help but I've mostly moved away from making them now. I'm still working on mount solutions but the splitters themselves are very cumbersome to ship.

And the profits just aren't there to deal with the hassle. That's why there are so few people doing splitters for any car and the ones that do are much more expensive than what Austin was charging. It was like me doing fully custom wheel spacers. I didn't do enough to make it not a net loss based on my time. (I find myself and time quite valuable )

Exactly. A few hours to assembly each splitter and then have to make a 2 hour round trip to a greyhound station to ship is just not worth it for the $100-200 I'd make. In the future I may reach out to a local company about offering evo splitters through them but at the moment I've got larger cats to kill.

I always wondered how you were shipping those things.

I don't regret it in the slightest. It was a great learning experience to add to my skill belt, just not viable long term in the manner I was doing it.

That’s a shame but fully understandable.

We're spoiled here in ATL because there's a zillion freight shipping companies in a 25 mile radius of me.

Being sick and tired of waiting for gearbox/TC/diff shims (and having 3 gearboxes, tc and an ayc diff in the works) I decided to make myself a setup to be able to grind them on my lathe. One magnetic chuck later and a custom mount for my dremel and I can grind shims... Need to make some improvements to the chuck to hold better so I can make deeper cuts, but as far as precision and parallelism goes... works a treat..

Anything made of metal it's just ...crazy. My wife was rear ended in a Lexus GX we had at the dealership, it had the Lexus branded hitch receiver on it cause of the tow package which saved most everything and took very little damage. However, Lexus has an indefinite backorder on them, so the insurance company won't pay out UNTIL the car is considered fully repaired. It was already a loosing battle to get some parts but dis is just getting outta hand.
