Several very well experienced and smart guys I know tried a bunch of different ways to get pumps to work because a remote pump would be legal but electric column is not (cant mod the column inside the firewall). Something about its not possible to get rid of the hesitation on initial turn and it needs constant high volume flow. Would like to hear who you know that managed to get a setup working. For us, the remote pump would be a nice thing for moving weight rearward.

That was my only thinking really to get some weight out and get rid of needing fluid and reservoir etc. Never really heard of one working

sorry for the mess... car has been sitting for ages in this small storage garage...

good news is 9 deg of caster at ride height... need to confirm stock wheel location but looks good.

Finally got around to installing the ti-295 pump with the pwm controller. I took a video of the initial screwing around with it. TLDR; fuel pressure can be prevented from over running the regulator at idle without modifying the return system at all.

I totally screwed up the voice track on that video (doing math in my head real time was not a good idea). 50% duty cycle output (numbers shown in AEM table) is 100% duty cycle to the pump, and 100% duty cycle output is 0% to the pump. With the motor running at idle I am able to get 12.8v across the pump at 100% DC and it makes ~90psi of fuel rail pressure and is drawing 21 amps! I can scale it down to ~40% DC and maintain ~33psi fuel rail pressure. I'm pretty happy with it so far.

95% done with my custom rear sway bar. Designed some custom mounts that Dallas machined. Speedway bar and arms, Rough calculator math says spring rate adjustment range should be 300-500ish lbs/in. 1.25" bar with 0.25" wall thickness. Just need to drill the holes in the arms for the endlinks and it'll be done.

that seems like a lot of cantilever, any concerns with the subframe supporting that?

Yea i mentioned that in my build thread. I'm not entirely sure about it but I'll find out. I think the subframe is beefy enough, it's more a question of the bolts. They're M10 and class 12.9 so hopefully they're up to the task.

I originally had a mount design that put the bar in a similar location as the stock mounts, just a bit lower, and it used all 3 mounting points. But in order to use that design I would have had to get custom arms made to snake over the lower control arm and under the axle like the factory bar does and that would have added a fair bit of cost to the project. If this doesn't work like I'd like then I'll explore that option again in the future.

I would pull the subframe down and do time serts in the subframe so the threads in the subframe are steel, and what's engaging the aluminum is oversized. Then I'd feel pretty good about it.

The threads in the subframe are actually pretty deep, and have almost 3D thread engagement. Most of the load is going to be in shear/torsion so if something is going to fail it will be the bolts.

When I get tired of physically doing things and need a break from Motec learning.... Been meaning to update my canards to a new style. Gonna print these once I get my printer freed up.

Instead of ASA... Interested in Polypropylene Carbon Fiber? Or better yet... I was going to make these for the X in FORGED carbon fiber....
