I'd think the horn button is a microswitch sitting behind the airbag assembly so plan of attack would be locate the switch then follow the wires back to the connector. Seems easy enough just not sure about where it is in location to clockspring and if wires are somehow incorporated into that. Like if I turn my wheel are wires going to tangle? Lol this sounds so silly and is probably sooo simple and straightforward once in front of me. But I'm stuck behind a computer and not in the garage right now.

It goes through the clockspring mechanism. It sends ground to trigger the horn relay. I've never had one of these steering wheels apart, so no idea how removing the bag effects the horn switch.

Lol was starring at a bunch of wire diagrams a few weeks ago, I should remember still. Usually a lil chart on the bottom that says what letter is what color prob right below that snipit. GR should be grey but now that I think about it the - should signify exactly what you said hence the use of the -

Ya'll got any good ideas/methods of getting a bundle of sensor wires thru the firewall? A budget bulkhead would be pretty nice but i havent tried looking for something. Also where have we found is a good place?
The little hole on the passenger side aint gonna cut it and already using the driver side grommet for all the ACD relocation wires.

Biggie thanks for that page, good reminder.
And yeah not a bad thought where the AC goes. Pull out the evap core and you can get a bunch of wires right there in the center stack by the heater box. Fab a blockoff plate drill hole and fit bulkhead milspec type fitting. Still need to source that and pins and what not to make serviceable. Connector is prob $$$ and proper crimper also $$$ but maybe could get away with a Molex style crimper.

No he might be onto something with that location. The heater core is above that. Just look at the two hoses that go into the heater box they're up much higher. Where the blockoff sticker is, i.e by that valve block right behind it is your heater box. However sitting right there is the evap core so if you pull that you have a bunch of empty space down there.

Yeah your right, I was thinking about the heater core for some reason. While running wires through the box would be doable, it would be a super pita and not practical at all. Easier said then done, but maybe take a look behind the passenger fender where the chassis harness passes through, there might be a good spot to add a hole, or better yet an unused hole with a grommet already in it. I'm not sure how reversed the electrical system on the RHD version of the lancer is but there could be some good space there to accommodate the larger harness, that might be available for use on a LHD model.
