whew - closed out the event and drove back home - true street car here. the car felt good and had tomo drive it as well. i'm severely down on power due to being on pump gas vs the e85 cars, but even then, i think anyone would be hard pressed to catch the 370 and the m3 in street - they were demolishing the south course. i was about 7 tenths off podium for third and had a number of cars between there as well, i think i was 6th. I think e85 would have gotten me a little closer, so definitely something to consider in the future, if i have access to it

Shawn Krebsbach's ( https://www.instagram.com/skrebs86/ ) Evo put in the second fastest time at this weekends Gridlife event: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...74&single=true
Impressive time and results. Even more impressive that the AWD cars are limited to 255 tires while the RWD cars can run 285s.

Yep, Shawn's a cool dude. Really laid back personality who just lets his driving do the talking. There's still a decent bit he can do to improve that car too.
The street mod wars are still in their infancy, that class is going to explode over the next 2-3 years
Street is much more heavily dependent on chassis selection. To compete with Austin and Chris you'll need good diffs, as much power as possible, and as much weight reduction as possible. Austin's Z has been prepped to the limit of the class for a while now, pretty much all his improvements are coming from the driver.

yea - those are not "street" cars to me. all of those dudes trailer to and from events, cut out sound deadening, no rear seats if they came with any, half cages, full buckets, no AC, etc.
I think I could podium with E85 while leaving the rest of the car as-is, but I'm not really willing to go further than that.

Long weekend of racing for me. The Evo didnt break though! But it does have a new clunk up front. Wish my class had limitations other then just running 200 tw tires but it is what it is. Got beat by a GT3RS and a crazy Focus RS on 305s. However, I did beat every Vette out there including a C8!

Trailering is more than just getting to/from the track. It makes track life massively better. Add in an enclosed and it gets even better-er. Now if you do an RV... Oh man long distance now doesn't even matter any more.
