AEM announced something about no longer revising any of their current ECUs and the lastest versions is all you get.
But the deeper details that came out were along the lines of AEM stiffed the guys who made them and they wont sell or support AEM anymore. Some heresay, some AEM published info there. But I dont really want to learn AEM if its not something Id ever use in the future on another car. Seems to make sense to look at something that will be around tomorrow.
Maybe someone else has more info?

You know what my answer is. Haltech is plug n play and hands down the most user friendly system. There really isn't anything you can't do with it and their software is super easy to navigate and it's laid out in an intuitive manner. Also, their online community forum and customer support is fantastic, there's hardly an issue you can have that someone hasn't already run into before.

Last time I looked, it made more sense to get an M150 from the start rather than trying to get an M130 and add an expander later, unless you really needed 100% of the extra inputs on the expander.

Looking at the usability and price I'm leaning towards Haltech. Looks like the 1500 is totally fine and 2500 is just for > 4cyl. And $1600 list before any discounts is much easier to swallow than the 4-5k to setup Motec.
For what Im doing the only benefit I can see would be built in ACD control potential but the price difference I could always add the Motec ACD controller later. Am I missing something?
