I actually skip all of that battery top parts due to the "little things" that come with it. Back when I was building the cage and doing this relocation in a pinch we got this from best buy:

It's a topic of conversation at every track day when people look in the engine bay and see this "sound system piece" lol where all of the positive connections come in (old front battery location).

Are there any rules against putting the mini battery under the passenger seat? I just got the battery relocation cable and its weight is making me rethink. I can put a 2nd battery for capacity and will be removed before a race. thanks

Local rules will be different depending where your based but general consensus is if its a lead acid type battery it must be in a casing/battery box. If its AGM or lithium it is fine but you need to have a mount which can sustand a substantial G force load in a crash. Thats what our local rules are anyway.

Oh nice, thats a lot of heat on the hot end. Ive been wanting to play with cf nylon primarily cause the finish looks so great on it.. But ASA is my go-to now for car related parts. Decent strength, great heat and uv resistance.

Might be an old topic but does anyone remember Eric Hsu claiming that the oem water pump cavitates past 6k rpm? And that he built vent systems because of it and used an "aftermarket" pump?

Its certainly possible, but unless someone showed me an impeller with signs of cavitation I wouldnt worry about it.
I did make a waterpump delete plate for a time attack EvoX that went electric a few years ago. Thats another option, just get rid of the pump and push coolant as needed.

I tried "someone's" billet water pump underdrive pulley. My car overheated at an autocross on a 75* day. Went back to stock and it was fine at the next event on a 90* day.
Also, holy **** hubs got expensive for these cars. All four almost $1k wholesale price from my dealer. F.
