If the rpm increased at that temp, we would see around 85-90psi a the mains gallery.

"At 80ºC oil temperature (176ºF) and 5500-6000rpm, a reasonable oil pressure number is 90-100psi when measured at the oil filter housing. Measuring oil pressure in the mains gallery (in the OEM oil pressure switch location on Evo 8) will be 10-12psi lower than the oil filter housing."
[section from the IE instructions]

The reason why I say to go to 5500-6000rpm to check the oil pressure when it's hot (80 degC) is that will be around your maximum oil pressure.
If you're 100psi at 3500rpm, then you're probably 120psi (approx) above 5000rpm. Oil grade/weight and oil temp dependant.
While this isn't a "problem", it's probably a bit high. I recommend 90-100psi at the oil filter housing when at operating temp.

That being said, the high oil pressure shouldn't cause any problems. But you will need to keep an eye on the cold oil pressures, they may be far too high (150++)

High oil pressure just adds heat to the oil when it's not needed. On our high output dry sump engines, we do run quite a bit more pressure to help the hydraulic wedge support the abuse. But those are 1/4 or 1/2 mile engine and making upwards of 250whp/hole

Ugh, cant link it here for some reason. Look up B&M Performance on FB. Theyve been parting out and doing dsm/evo stuff for years. Pretty much have everything though it comes at a price for that convenience.

I really think its probably not a bad time to invest into a 3d scanner and start scanning some components/ reverse engineering them for the future lol

With the Yen in freefall, probably a safe bet. I saw on a fb group, someone is making 8 front bumpers with and without nose

https://evoscan.com/wp-content/uploa...00000700-5.pdf

Wonder how it compares in material to OE 'Talc filled rubber modified polypropylene'

Thanks for the tip! Good to know about another source.

I really should just pull my transmission and ship it to TRE this winter.

We'll be doing a billet filter housing in the not so distant future. The stock piece is pretty complex so a direct replication would be pretty expensive. I'm still trying to decide if we are going to offer a basic filter housing (if someone wants to run a cooler they can just add a basic sandwich plate) as well as a remote filter option.

TRE could do so much better if they had somebody who can do technology and marketing on board haha.

haha yeah, I think it's just a two-man operation. Being in a niche market, their products market themselves.
