I believe ATI has a dry sump adapter gear, not sure if there is an Evo specific one for that. The Fluidampr would be exactly the same as stock.

Both the fluidampr and the ATI had a mounting solution for a dry sump drive gear.

I've seen the issue mostly in cars that see the rev limiter or the 2-step a lot, so drag racing and autocross.
that sounds like the crank bolt is under torqued or something about the stackup (sprockets/spacers) is leading to a loss of preload. I see no fretting on any of those surfaces on a car that has hours of run time on the rev limiter.

It's all torqued correctly. Red loctite even. It happens. Doesn't happen with the ATI.

how does oil and red loctite mix? meaning the correct torque spec is for oiled crank bolt.

It's an M14 bolt, typical dry torque for that is about 140-150ftlbs. So I torque to that when using loctite instead of oil. The ARP bolt I use CMD Lube, and torque to ARP's spec of 140ftlbs.

Any other cool questions?

So far so good. Just finished up a 7163 install which is pretty fun. You'll have to try it if we ever have any local events.

7163 was pretty nice, but we found it just slightly more laggy than we liked for tight digs. The blouch 1.0 was just a few hundred rpm quicker and it was quite noticeable. Though I know Shoe was running a Green and 2.2 (maybe still is?) and he's never seemed to have issue with it.

4.94 final drive in the x-shift sequential doesn't seem to care about lag. 😎

Good to hear! I had fun building that one. That turbo should be a bit of fun too! Throw whatever you can at it! Will link up with one of you to see when the next local event is.

The trans is awesome. My mind was blown when I went for a ride in it.
