Whats the effect on boiling point and/or heat transfer of super rusty water??
It was just water wetter and tap water in there for last few years.
Probably not helping the over heating issue with the slim fan. Just installed the CSF radiator and doing 3 flushes, then filling with coolant/water.

Put a stock rad and fan, flushed the system and now it’ll stay at 198-200 max.

CSF is not good quality IMO. I bought one for my X (for no dumb reason) and within a few months it leaked at a weld joint. Not sure if that means they even pressure tested it. I reached out and they said I was outside of warranty!

The CSF Slim radiator is the same thickness and capacity as stock. What you want is the "high performance" variant with more capacity part #3163 CSF HP Radiator. Mine with the stock fan still has plenty of room for larger turbo set ups as well but ymmv

I think stock is actually pretty good as far as radiators go - the only reason for replacement is to get rid of the plastic end tanks, from what I recall.
I use Sheepey's: https://sheepeyrace.com/products/she...ishi-evo-7-8-9

Personally I have the cheap CSF OEM radiator and it hasnt had any issues so far when I track my Evo with it.
I know there is an alternative with PWR. I have heard that ProAwe uses that radiator on their track Evo.
