Good luck dude. My job change will more than likely mean a 300 mile move as well so there's some figuring out to do.

Nope, thrust clearance measured .005" (~.13mm) the first time I fixed it. Spec is .002-.009". I'm certain there is some issue related to thrust though, as I had to bend the trigger plate to clear the sensor when I fixed it (despite thrust measuring in spec) and when it happened again this second time the clutch pedal went straight to the floor when it broke which is indicative of the crank moving.

Unless the car ran for 110k miles with a backwards trigger wheel, no. Believe me I've driven myself crazy going after this but I don't think I'll find a culprit until the motor is apart.

Best of luck in the job search. Hopefully things settle out quickly for you.

My first few years of Evo ownership were in a garage barely larger than the car. I'd have to choose which side of the car I wanted to work on and move it to the opposite side of the garage to make enough room. Still had a ton of fun working on the car.

I still remember getting yelled at by my apartment manager for working in the car port. Then his frustration when I moved to the street with an EZ-up.

Haha thanks, I'm hoping it moves quickly but we'll see. Luckily since I'll be moving to the Detroit area cars are a culture there so I'm hoping to get a small apartment and rent/buy a small industrial space to keep the car, truck, tools, machines etc. Keeping my fingers crossed.
