Laguna Seca prep going on. Girodisc front rotor, Raybestos ST47's all the way around. And rerouting the STM catch can so the 10an line on off the driver side of the valve cover and not the rear. So valve cover came off to drill and tap that for 1/2" NPT, and then I got the parts to put the stock PCV stuff back in that rear hole. And fresh fluids in everything.

Why PCV from the driver side, and catch can from the rear port: you are clever, so am sure it is a good reason.
Thank you.

So...

The STM recirc catch can uses STM's custom fittings. You have a 10an hose from the OEM (rear) PCV hold to the catch can recirculated the turbo inlet/intake. And the PCV valve is plumbed one from the driver side fitting on the valve cover.

So, I'm putting the PCV back in the rear hole in the valve cover with the OEM parts, and the 10an hose to the catch can is going to go to the driver side opening.

The rear hole on the valve cover gets A LOT of oil. It is not useable with big lines in a track car. You just pump oil into the catch can basically.

That's awesome. Laguna Seca is on my bucket list.

I'm still amazed that we don't have a go-to catch can configuration that is known to work well. Seems like everyone I know is always chasing catch can tweaks.

You're gonna love it. It's so fast and so smooth. Even just driving the warm lap is fun because there is so much to look at and take in. I'm hoping to get back before it's too late.

When is the Laguna event!? I would love to go.

After 2 days of racing this weekend and not doing so good (4th place in class), I found out how not good of a driver I am haha. I let Tom Berry drive my car and he beat me by nearly 2 seconds after just 3 laps. He did say my car was setup good though.

I know, thats why I wanted him to drive it. Needed to be sure it was me and not the car. He will hop in for a few laps at every event to instruct me but there is nothing else like it to have a pro drive your car so you can see exactly what you are doing wrong. Its funny cause he posted a better time in my car over the GT3RS he drove all weekend.

random question. re: cars that are tuned from the factory as 'flex fuel' cars, are they typically designed to handle and adjust for any mix? ie 50% 87 50% e85? wondering if at events if I have any fuel left over, I can just dump it in the sequoia since it won't last that long anyway

I wouldn't. With that many miles and that early of a "flex" I doubt it's in shape to handle it. Plus you'd go from 15mpg to 9 lol.
