Well I don't think they're allowing the ACR tires at KOTM this year. I just figured the $25k cash prize would be enough persuasion haha. Shawn almost won last year and his car is far from an autox setup.

The ACR is definitely that fast that if you can make it work its not unsubstantially faster.

Now that I have the enclosed trailer we're going to put a bolt in 4-point to run Optima in the Outlaw class with 315 A052s and try to make it out to the bigger cash races. KOTM is still just a bit too far, more than 2000miles each way.

I keep trying to shift more over to a street tire setup but its hard when the tire factory (what you call an overly dominate car that just wins rubber) is keeping me stacked with sticker tires. Right now I have a set of 50run A7s and 10 sticker, all 315s. So buying street tires would only be to run different series. And then the tesla needs tires too...

Im guessing CV-2 will be just fine as an alternative unless you guys know otherwise?
I did some research on axle grease and the OEM grease supplied in Axle Rebuild kits is the same consistency as NGLI #2. Questionable reference : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NLGI_consistency_number

Redline CV-2 is more than adequate for the axle. It was possible to buy a high-quality cv boot clamp at the auto parts store. Sometimes its possible to reuse the OEM clamps. I moved on to these clamps and haven't had any issues with them.

don't have a testing kit on hand but the sequoia is flex fuel, so i can just dump it there.

does anyone know what size hose will fit the return hose on the fuel rail?

looks like 3/8. gonna grab a hose and empty this stuff into the sequoia

Looks like torque solutions makes rear diff ear mounts now. Was debating making my own version to offer but there's no way I'd be able to contest a $300 price point. Will likely grab myself a pair in the future.

Hopefully they fit better than their motor mounts.

That reminds me: I need to get something to eliminate that mustache bar.

I've got all 4 of their mounts and have no fitment issues. The anodizing is definitely on the cheap side but I couldn't care less about some faded ano as long as it fits well. If these are of the same quality, for the price I'm glad to buy them.

never ends. got a slight stutter any time im going from off throttle to WOT, including during upshifts. afr's are fine, considering maybe the map sensor (omni 4bar) or maybe tps.

Why did Mitsu use the uber heavy mustache bar in the first place? I’ve been distrustful of this style of diff mount (the ears) in a road race application. There is plenty of aluminum in the subframe and suspension back there, so they must have had an engineering reason?

Evoscan logs would be a good starting place.

I've yet to see anyone have an issue with a mustache eliminator on a road course car. As to the reason Mitsu went with the cast iron path, I'd wager a guess it was a cost reduction, or they were trying to add weight in the rear and low to the ground to bring the CoM down and rearward as much as possible.
