probably the thermostat housing gasket or from the sensor itself? it definitely wouldnt flow upwards from the head gasket. clean it dry and check again maybe

i mean, i think they were thinking that's where it was dripping down from, from the back - it kinda comes from the back area, but it's a nightmare to see. doesn't seem likely that it's the head gasket though..?

original shop also suggested possibly the turbo water lines or the radiator hose, it's just impossible to tell. what else would "pass" a 15psi pressure test?

i guess really only thing left is to take it to MN or WI, not drives i look forward to once again

The head gasket is the thin metal on top of black painted block
your thermostat switch seems a little green. not sure if patina

turbo line looks fine:

and I see a good deal of coolant on the coolant pipe itself, and on the backside of the transmission much more the front (lends itself to head gasket then?)? it's hard to see and hard to take pics but i think the thermostat housing & gasket are fine..

and the t-case:

I think that's your winner. You might try cleaning it up, reseating the clamp, and inspecting after some use. If its still leaking, new clamps and hoses.

No i'm talking about the throttle body hose connection that's adjacent to all that coolant mess. Maybe it's just the angle of the photo, but the clamp looks like it might be on a little crooked. Regardless of that though the proximity to all that mess and still fresh wet coolant seems like a smoking gun to me.

plumber's tape?

is it this sensor? https://stmtuned.com/products/water-...=1008086155273

i'm ok to replace with a new one if that's better. it was dry to the touch but i can try touching it with paper towel or something when car is hot.

readjusted, but not sure why it wouldn't be evident when they ran 15psi through the system for the pressure check?

I will look into the temp sensor next i guess, since it does seem to have some crust on it?

sorry that was a response to Biggie. Electrical tape thickens the hose clamp area so the clamp clamps more (a fix to my issue)

if its not wet then ignore it for now/ I'm not sure why theres so many traces of coolant but forget those and address the currently wet areas

stick some paper towel between the block and pipe and a separate paper towel on the hose barb area.

what Biggie is seeing is that the clamp is not sitting in its original position

15psi is on the low end of the spec for the factory cap, which goes up to 18. You can test it higher than that too, I do since I run a higher pressure cap.

thought it was, but readjusted it now per below. i can see if i can finagle a paper towel around that pipe and hose.

i've got the sheepey csf, which has a 1.4 bar/20psi cap. maybe it's too much pressure, and i should switch to oem-level cap?

I keep going back to OE cap every time I read some new weak point on the car like cracked radiators, water pump gasket, oe turbo hoses. A new black cap would look nice though
