Just put mine on yesterday along with an HKS d/p. It sounds really sweet, low rumble @ idle but screams past 4000rpm. No CEL. Qulaity piece, verry happy.

Is that the 3" cat in the pics? Does it mate up to the Factory DP or do you have to use the 2.5" cat with the OEM DP?

Thing of it is if a cop looks under your car, you're screwed because it doesn't look like a normal cat. 95%chance of passing emissions? Not good enough. I don't think other mods will have an impact on passing as much as the cat. Anyway is it me or is it difficult to see through the piping of the random cat? Exactly, flow may be a problem.

Hi,

Nino's website is getting overhauled so I can't see the pics.

Anyway, I have a Helix 3" dp, and Buschur AB. This should bolt up no problem, right? What about the flange after the cat to the stock intermediate pipe? I know this costs more than the other high flow cats, but per Silver Surfer's thread it has good perf which is the bottom line, right?

Are these in stock? Also, how does it compare in length to the stock unit? The reason I ask is that the Helix DP is a tight fit, and is slightly shorter than the stock dp. If this cat were slightly longer than the stock cat, it may help with fitment. I have two gaskets at the stock cat, but I do get intermittent rubbing, such as when the car is cold. If this cat would help eliminate the rubbing, that would be excellent. Also, does it include gaskets?

Sorry for all the questions.

Thanks,

FB

I have the Helix 3" downpipe and catback installed along with the Random Tech cat. Very pleased so far. Clearances are tight, so I went with Kartboy's higher durometer exhaust hangers to minimize play. Click the thumbnail for the full-sized image.
