Why Fidanza Cam Gears are superior?
Well..
You keep asking me why the Fidanza gears I sell are superior or at least ...In my eyes..
Lets analize this.
Machined aluminum construction produced by a company that deals ONLY in aluminum products and marketed by them. These gears are precise and made specifically for the EVO 8.
Stainless steel replacable hardware. We all make mistakes, when you do you'll be happy to know that there wont be any expensive work required to remove or repair your cam gears.Simply remove the damaged hardware and replace it for pocket change.
Adjustment side of the gear uses 10mm nuts making it easy for anyone to adjust and allowing for proper torque reading compared to allen keys that tend to flex.
And lets not forget...These are the best value on teh market at only 245.00 shipped..I mean, why would you pay more for a copy of a product that is reasearched, developed and produced by a company with over 20 years in the buisness of making cars go fast.

Nino,
The pics show much better of the ease to replace any stripped or damaged studs. My cam gears should be in today, woohoo!
As for the vendors and superiority...it's getting old. Support your products and don't try to start these bickering posts back and forth. It makes people lose respect for you and your company.
I think all of the vendors are doing a great job supporting the aftermarket community with new innovations and products but there is no need to talk down to eachother.
Thanks for the good deals, and I hope everyone will start to get along!

Not bickering, I see the chilish post and I put up my facts, thats the way I support my products..
If i myself dont approve of something then I wont sell it.
But I figured I would put up my reasoning for why these are sweeeet.

Oh by the way, will the torque specs be listed in the box? I really only plan on changing the settings once but want to make sure they are set at the proper specs before installing.

Is this something that a tuning newbie could do? I definitely want to order some cam gears, but I am new to the tuning world and am unsure if I can do something like this. Do the instructions basically tell you what settings to use or is that something you have to figure out yourself? Thanks a lot! I will give a set of these gears a new home very soon

Its hard to say whether a tuning noob would be good or not with these.
In most cases people who buy cam gears will simply research what everyone is running with and them and the results that they find and then adjust them from there.
trying different recommended settings is a good idea for someone without a dyno and then you can base which setting suits you best based on what you hear.

In all seriousness Id be interested but you say *IF* the friction bolts break or strip you can replace it with pocket change. From the 1G DSM world that means at the minimum $1500 for a new head and valves. This isnt pocket change to me so Im interested in what the machine grade of the hardware is?

T6061 machined aluminum, Hard anodized outer section..
When i say the That the friction bolts strip or break I mean from the user overtightening them. The end user knows this happens instantly, Its not siomething that will happen while driving but from improperly torqueing the studs.
They are made of high quality 6061 T6 aluminum, CNC machined to more exacting tolerances than even original gears.
The outer ring is coal blasted and then hard anodized. The coal blasting gives the gear a textured surface to better grip the timing belt. The hard anodizing makes the outer ring incredibly strong and durable.
Let me add, when I say pennies to repair...
You overtighten and strip the stud or break it, You will need to remove the gear and buy new stainless hardware from a hardware store...40-90 cents.
