Thanks to Kevin and Denver

I just have to say thanks to Kevin and Denver at Evolution Dynamics for the work the did on my car recently. My IX MR is now at 124k miles, so it was time for some routine and preventative maintenance. I managed to schedule an appointment with them the same week i was going to be in the area on business, so it all worked out well. 7.5 hour drive, but it was worth it.

Link to the thread about the work i had done: 124k EVO IX MR maintenance

well on the trip home, everything felt and worked great. the next day though i noticed a leak coming from somewhere around the TC area. I took the front bumper off, along with the undertray, and got under the car tightening and feeling on every bolt and line i could find that might be the source with no luck. the only thing i couldn't see was the speed sensor, and the seals on the TC/Tranny. I was in constant contact with Kevin trying to figure out the problem and it was basically narrowed down to those two things.

The problem was, I live 7.5 hours away with no way to make it back out there with the car the way it is, and no dealerships in the area qualified to do the work that the car may have needed, so what do we do?

well I had an idea, and it seems they came up with the same one. Denver flew out to Baton Rouge, tools in hand to fix the problem. Talk about customer service. Some of the guys at work give me **** about my car because they don't know what it is, they just know it's fast. They also know it's got big wings, missmatched body panels (carbon fiber), and a big muffler. I used this as an opportunity to depict the EVO as the refined, world class automobile that it is by informing them that I was having a Specialist fly in to work on the car because of it's exclusivity and shear awesomeness.

I got off at 4:30am that morning, picked him up from the airport at roughly 9:30am (mybad haha), made a few parts runs, got everything fixed and buttoned up, dropped him off at the airport at 4pm, then headed back to work by 4:30pm to work until 4:30am. Long freaking day, but worth it because the EVO's good as new again. It turned out to be the o-ring around the speed sensor. It sucks that this happened, but I can't complain because they were willing to do anything they had to to make it right. You can't ask for any more than that. Great guys to deal with, and I'll be seeing you guys in another 70,000 miles when it's time for another clutch lol

No problem man! We wanted it to be right! Sorry you had to go 48hours with no sleep!!
Problem solved then?
This event lead up to make a new policy, and every out of town car is going to at least a 15 to 20 min test drive with several stop to check for leaks etc. We mainly work on in town cars so we just a short test drive around the block to make sure everything sounds and feels right, check for leaks and tell the owner to watch for puddles and bring it back if there is an issue... we'll that doesn't work for someone thats is 7.5hours away hahaha! So for your case you gotta do what you gotta do, so I flew down there to get it done..... Oh can just FYI for anyone going to fly with tools... they will check your bag like crazy! and be prepared to have to check the bag, but you can carry on hand tools 7" or shorter haha.

Glad it worked out ODUB!

Flying with tools, yeah I've been there. I was "randomly" checked at two airports when I had to perform a service recall on some SMART cars. wanded, sniffed and wiped down.
