Equipe Rapid Challenge Cup # 4, at Mineral Wells Airpark. Sunday July 5, 2009
Come join the fun as Equipe Rapid SCC holds Challenge Cup # 4, at Miserable Hells Airpark. Sunday July 5, 2009.
Translation - come grind your tires on the gravely asphalt surface in the Texas heat for the chance to win a mug or possibly $5
Ok, that's not the point. It's about having fun and the spirit of competition!!!
I'm not going to sugar coat it, you'll have to be hard core for this one. It's about an 80 to 90 mile drive each way depending on where in Dallas you live so it's not close by, unless you live in Fort worth. Also, the weather.com forecast predicts highs from around 98 to 102 on Sunday. Last but not least, it's the day after July 4th so if you've been partying late, you can find out what it's like to drive at 6 AM with a hang over. Kinda sounds like fun right?

Entry fee is $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Most events you will get 4 timed runs with the option to enter in the Rapide PAX event for $10 which gives you two more runs.
So.. who's interested?? Just put your name right down below...

Yeah, I was more worried about the blazing sweltering heat more than anything. Once I saw that it was like 79 degrees, I kinda wished I had gone. On the other hand, staying home to take care of a few things turned out to be good too. ;-)

Oh yeah. I remember that from 3 months ago. So long ago I forgot about it.
Ok but the next one I'm doing it for sure... Unless something keeps me from it.

Wowza.. that's pretty cool when you can go from lifting a rear tire to lifting a front tire. I dunno if you want to change anything. Some very fast cars lift the front wheel on hard turns.
I'm no suspension genius but I don't think keeping that front inside on the ground will buy you anything especially since it's cambered in the wrong direction to help anyway. Ya know?
