NTEC Monthly Meet - Possible new home....
So today melissa and I had lunch in South Lake at Johnny B's Burgers and Shakes . The burgers where really good as where the shakes. Not the best burger I have ever had in my life, but certainly one of the top. Melissa noticed that they have a private room available for events etc.
I talked to Johnny B himself to inquire about possibly bring our meet there, he said the room is free if we eat which we do, and that on Tuesdays he is fairly slow and does not see any problems with us meeting there, he actually encourages car meets, and is hosting a large meet and car show on the Aug 29 and Oct 30th for the SVT club. The private room is air-conditioned, and completely separt from the main eating area. Also it has a fountain drink station and Im sure tea as well in the room. He said just call as early in advance as possible, but a day or two is usually enough and we can reserve the room.
Oh yeah, for all the sweet tea connoisseurs (sp??) its passes my evaluation. The sweet tea was good, not over the top sweet, not bitter, all around good.
The parking lot is not huge, but nice and large enough to certainly have parking. The area is new, nice, and safe as well. All of it is well lit as well.
The restaurant is counter serve, but number call out, not quite as good a spring creek, but tolerable.
The price... Melissa and I ordered 2 burgers, shared a fry, a drink and 2 shakes for right at $17, so not bad. No tip necessary also.
Menu - It is a burger place so the of course have burgers, they also offer other items, including a garden salad for those healthy people
It is located in South Lake in the new shopping mecha area, and easy to get too. It is a little north, but very central.

They are only open till 8:30pm which might be a problem, but if everyone got there when it started.... 7 to 730 there shouldn't be a problem.

The burgers are good at 5 guys, but JohnnyBs are comparable for sure
both are in my top burger list.We need to pick a place and keep it for a while I think. Our largest meets where at spring creek cause it was easy for everyone to get to, and a constant, every third Tuesday was spring creek at 7, but I understand wanting a change, and we have tried a few places so far......... this one looks promising to be for a "new home" for a while........
