Oklahoma Festival of Speed
I don't have a lot of details yet, but it will be sometime next spring.
Basically it's a combined time thing:
Laps at Hallett
Autocross in OKC
Drag

For those who have never heard of it, the Festival of Speed is the most balanced racing event in Oklahoma pitting cars of different classes against one another in the three most popular forums of motorsports in the US; drag racing, auto-cross, and road racing. Each event requires different elements of the car's performance to be perfected. To be successful, you must build a car that does all three better than the others.
Classes and rules are currently being worked out. Feel free to post up suggestions. To get started, last time this event was ran, we had two simple classes; street and race. Street cars were not allow to make significant changes between events including changing tires, brakes, or suspension components. Race class was a run what ya brung as long as it was the same car. If you really wanted to change engine, trans, tires, and suspension between days, more power to you! This year, we may or may not do it differently.
With regard to entry fees, final costs are still being worked out and depends on what kind of package deals we can get from the individual venues. I will say that the last FoS was a bargain for the amount of track time you got.

Theres not really alot of rules.
Street Class is DOT rated tires, and cars have to be driven to each event on the same set of tires, no changing wheels/tires.
Race Class is any tire you want, you can change tires, and car can be trailer'ed to the events.
3 Events last time, maybe more depending.
OKS AutoX, Hallett, and Thunder Valley, lowest cumulative time wins.
