Blacked out my headlights this weekend. I did this on 3 of my previous cars , so this time it was a snap and looks great. Cant even tell the headlights were even opened! Cost me 15$ and some time lol. Questions ,Comments?

here is a pic of mine, sorry its not closer up. flat black and amber removal. I used Krylon Ultra Flat Black (its part of their camouflage paint line) and a heat gun. I HIGHLY recommend using an oven and baking them, seeing as how using the heat gun took FOREVER because i was being extremely careful as to avoid cracking the lens. Got the whole project done in 10 hours. from starting to remove the front bumper to putting back on the last bolt

Yes use the oven I did mine and it took me all about 1 hour. Preheat the oven for 400 degrees and put them in for 2 to 2 1/2 mins. Then they just come apart . Then paint

Ok I should have been more specific. It took me an hour to take them apart and get all the crap off of them. Then 2 hours to paint and let them dry. 1 hour for the adhesvie to dry. So it took about 4 hour sorry bout that.

I did mine in a very diffrent way. I havnt ever used the oven, i have always been too scared to melt the actual lights. I just use a heat gun very carefully. And when putting them back together i put a new bead of sylicone over the old adhisive. And remelt the 2 halfs together agian. That way when your done, they look like they were never opened in the first place.
