Another Thank You to Don Herring (read this if you ever plan to autocross!)

I just wanted to say thanks again to Don Herring.

This weekend we had the SCCA awards banquet where they award the year end trophies to all the class winners.

Don Herring has the only cash paying contingency program in the area. Mark Berry and I were the lucky recipients of this program this year.

What does this mean?

If you win, you get paid.

That simple. You sign up for the program, run a Don Herring license plate frame on your car. Then all you have to do is drive faster than the other guys 1st place that day gets you $50. You win the season in your class? A cool $500.

There are nine events in the season. You win all of them and the year end and that's a potential $950 that you could win.

Details are here: http://www.autocross.com/tr/modules/...ndex.php?id=28

This is one of the best contingency programs in the country!

Yes I do believe I shall win some cash this year. Thing is, there has to be at least 2 entrants in your class right?

Speaking of, what class are you running this year, Goofy?

Really? Me too.

Don has been very generous by providing this program for four straight years. It's been setup to offer the $50/event and $500 win to all of the SCCA Solo classes (both men's and ladies) in which Mitsubishi's are eligible. That totals 26 classes! Speaking with Don, he said he would like to be giving out more checks to local Mitsubishi winners, so get out there, compete and have fun.

Considering the power you now have, I'm sure you're not. Perhaps I should change my screen name to "E85_Evo_Someday"

And yes -- thank you Don for everything you do for the Mitsu owners. Particularly the contingency rewards!

You might have to add weight to be legal. Your roll cage should cover it

Actually I don't know what it would take for you to be FP legal. I've not read the prepared rules. You might have to move to XP.

i think my motor moves me. not certain on that... although mark will have a high compression ratio, so motor mods are allowed i would assume.

and marks car is considerably lighter then mine even with his ballast he still has me by a few hundred pounds.

I would really like to see you bring out your track monster. That would be something to see.
