The quotes are per event not per year? or month?

HPDE INSURANCE PROGRAM’S POLICIES ACTUALLY PROTECT YOU WHERE YOU NEED IT MOST: THE TRACK.

As any High-Performance Driver’s Education enthusiast knows, finding the single-event coverage you need to protect yourself during events is almost impossible. Over the past 5 years many auto insurers have changed their policies to exclude coverage for claims "occurring on a surface used for racing", "at a high-performance driving event", or "use of an auto at a racetrack".

HPDE Insurance Program is pleased to offer single-event insurance without these exclusions, meaning our policy protects you where you really need it – on the track. And you can get it FAST – our easy online system lets you get a premium indication instantly and you can even purchase your insurance policy electronically. It’s insurance at your fingertips.

Note: This insurance policy provides physical damage coverage for your automobile while you are participating in a High-Performance Driver Education event. This physical damage coverage will begin when you enter the grounds of a race course and end when you leave the race course premises. Liability coverage is not included in this policy.

My 'quick quote' was
$138 for a $20k car
$2,000 deductable

-correct-
it mentions that its the same price for 1,2, or 3 day events
but the price may change depending upon the tracks around the US
it seems some are more hazardous than others

I'm renewing my yearly auto coverage this June and
plan on having the agent answer whether his company covers my time at MSR
they will need to show me in writing...

anyone want to start/organize a meet w/some agents to 'court' NTEC's members for the
perfect rates and coverage???

I found another place that does similar insurance, and it's basically by event. The cost was a simple function of the insured cost of the vehicle, and carried the same 10% deductible.

went to MSR friday:

Jack Farr, MSR owner, said, "No driving suits for this event only!! Heavy cotton long pants and shirts are required in lieu of driving suits".
Everyone please bring some extras in case anyone 'forgets' or really doesn't have a heavy cotton long sleeve shirts...

driving suits and helmets will be for rent in the MSR office, usually $20 complete

Weekend Options:

BestWestern Cresson Inn ---
we have an early Saturday planned and a Friday night here would really make your Saturday easier....
across Hwy 377 from MSR.... $90 king or double (tell em GenManager, quoted the rate for MSR event)

WakeSportRanch
some of you have families that you don't want to leave at home or may not want to hang around all day looking at 'cars'

WakeSportRanch on the grounds overlooking our 1.3 track
http://www.wakesportranch.com/news-wsr.cfm

Granbury
plenty to do as well...it is a quaint/historical weekend destination w/everything you can think of to do

Don sent out a questionnaire to everyone who's paid up for the track day.
I could have missed a few...
You track'n or coming out?
add your name so we know how to plan...

I suggest anyone who has not received the questionnaire from Don to
pm him requesting one, and confirming your payment
