Excited with a tinge of bitterness. I am one of the few that believe that In-N-Out should stay in SoCal. It makes going back home really special, but maybe now people will believe that a Double-Double animal style will pwn just about any burger in DFW.

Any tips on basic performance mods? This is what I'm thinking based of the "Evo Modding for Dummies" thread:

-stock airbox with a drop in element
-TBE
-Shifter Bushing
-AccessPort(?)

I also plan to lower the car and pick up some new wheels, so maybe some sway bars/ braces to stiffen up the chassis.

Oh ok. Any other good EM people trust? Or can I do minor bolt-ons and reset the battery?

On a side note, there are no EVO IX's available at DH (all three locations). I also found out from sales that the "Early Loan Termination" program is just their way of saying that they do standard auto loans. If that's the case, I may have to wait until I can get my neg equity lower. Oh Well.

Here are a few threads I've put together that should help you out. Plenty of great links in the first two posts in this first thread so be sure to check them out too.

As a former car salesman, I'm gonna tell you one thing... go to Don Herring ONLY!

I've been in the middle of working relationship between Don Herring and COBB since I came on board earlier this year and you will not find a more passionate dealership owner than Don Herring Jr. (haven't dealt with dad, but I'm sure the apple didn't drop far from the tree!)

As for locale, I'd say Jason and Mike in Irving know their EVO's better than all the other salesguys and are good people to deal with. However, Charles in Plano is a great guy and will shoot you straight! So take your pick, you'll be treated well and won't get the run around.

Although the AP is discontinued on 8's and 9's, we can still tune it here in Plano on our dyno with no problems, see Mark Berry (the Don Herring sponsored Evo 8).
