You won't be dissapointed. Get the house white bread, it's a little sweet and oh so good! We used to have a County Line in Lubbock and it was good food for sure, the one outside of Austin is a lot bigger and has a huge seating area indoors and outside.

Hard Eights is pretty good but I'm not a fan of their BBQ sauce at all. We go there for work lunches about once a month. I've been going to a new place lately that is owned by a coworkers friend and I must say...it's easily my favorite BBQ place in DFW now...

Mike Andersons BBQ is amazing, Mike himself cuts your meat everyday, they only serve till they run out of meat daily which is fairly early since they aren't open for dinner unless you reserve the place after hours, they have like 15 different sides, and the pulled pork and sliced brisket is out of this world. Not to mention they have texas toast which to me is the sign of a great bbq joint.

Also Cousins BBQ in west Ft. Worth off Bryant Irvin is really good, a friend in highschools uncle owned that one and we went there often. There are I think two more locations, one off 1187 near 35s and I don't remember where the other one is. I'd say this place is probably my 2nd favorite in all DFW.

Mike's is great! Probably my favorite BBQ in the Dallas-area that I've tried so far. Laramie introduced me to it.

County Line was fantastic! It definitely blew Salt Lick away and their homemade bread was fantastic.

Cool view from their patio (it's an old speakeasy):

Marbled brisket + coleslaw + mac & cheese + white & wheat bread:

Lean brisket + smoked chicken + sausuage + mac & cheese + coleslaw:

Janelle said this place had the best brisket she's ever eaten and I'd tend to agree. Her marbled was better than my lean (wanted to try both). The smoked chicken was good, but I'd probably say Sonny Bryan's and Baker's is slightly better. The sausage was also very good, I'd probably put it at/near the top. The coleslaw had good flavor, it was almost like a salad since it was chopped in fairly large pieces. The mac & cheese was incredibly gooey and easily took top honors away from KFC.

I think we're going to need a Hill Country BBQ cruise sometime in the near future.

In the mean time, I'll schedule something for Hard Eights.

IMHO, BBQ places tend to be good one day, then start slacking after time (for whatever reason). Rudy's is consistent; I'll give them that. Some friends of mine say their food is too smokey. I like it just fine.

Check out Ironworks. It was good eats when I ate there a few years ago.
