Good trails all over the place. Erwin Park in McKinney is one of my favorites. It has a good mix of trail types.

there are some shorter/simpler trails right in the colony next to austin ranch apartments. if you want more difficult trails, rockledge park in grapevine (northshore trail) is my favorite. its one of the longest in the metroplex, and definately has some of the most difficult sections in the area.
