So the evo ended up not working out, but I have a car now

Just made it home 30 min ago from Miami. Tom's coming over a bit later to check it out. 997 GT3, very extensive mod list for tracking and reliability. It's a beauty.
Nice pick up I just got back from south beach this evening as well!

Not new parts per se, but I had Soulspeed roll my fenders on Saturday. I had been dealing with the rubbing ever since I installed my springs month or so ago. Its really nice to be able to hit a dip and not have to worry about the rubbing. Collin did a great job.

Love my new brake pads.

Last week I texted KevinD saying I need some better brake pads with more bite. Two days later Kevin texted me and said my brake pads were in. So I drove over, picked them up and paid for them, and took them home.

I didn't get a chance to put them on until this morning while changing tires for the AutoX. Changing brake pads on an Evo is very simple. No bolts, just 2 pins and viola!

Fast forward to the first runs. After one or two good hard runs, and the the cabin filling with the overwhelming smell of what smelled like boiling cat urine as the pads heated up for the first time, the brakes were warm and biting hard enough to make your eyeballs pop out of your head.

The car now stops on a dime and I love it!

Chris rode with me for a run and said when I braked hard, it felt like his face was being pulled off. I have to agree. Racing brake pads are no joke. The car now stops as well as it accelerates and that's an awesome and super fast combination.
