Evodynamics Mini Dyno day results!

so today we had a number of evos we have built in the last few months meet at steve kan tuning to do some pulls and clean up some high HP tunes.

first up was Jesse with his evo 9 RS, stock turbo, 93 oct. the car was previously untuned with basic bolt ons. we did a before tune and after tune, picked up a total of 60ftlb and 31whp. through the midrange it was an increase of nearly 100ftlb though. the Profec B boost controller was acting a little wacky and trying to overcorrect the boost at peak torque, as noted by the oscillations around 3600rpm

second on the dyno was roberts evo 9 MR with FP red, all the bolts ons, 1450cc injectors, double pumper, E85@30psi peak tapering to 27psi. it put down 512whp, 438ftlb (we stopped adding boost for more torque cause its a stock bottom end)

next we did Lances car. his car is a evo 9 MR with 5 speed conversion, buschur 2.3L stroker, cams, intake, exhaust, pipes, intercooler, injectors, double pumper, E85@ 32psi with a stock ecu speed density tune from us. lance put down 654whp, 542ftlb of torque

next on the dyno was a blue X we have been working on at the shop. unfortunately richard wasn't around to fine tune it (and i didn't have the definitions to edit it), so we did two pulls, and it needed some tweeking so we stopped. it still put down 390whp, 340ftlb with a conservative tune. it has a FP red, ported head, cams, IC pipes, FIC 1100cc injectors, FP , and an exhaust running 91 and 93 oct. richard is out cleaning it up right now

after the X we did my BMW 335xi, it has nothing but the JB4 on it, we did a baseline pull untuned, the damn automatic didn't want to stay in third gear though, even with it in manual shift mode. it made 260whp, i wasn't sure on the torque because i had to rev it to 4000rpm just to keep it in 3rd before i could floor it. after the stage 1 tune, it made 290whp, and the stage 2 tune it made 319whp. notice how odd the stock ecu delivers fuel. extremely lean at lower rpm at high torque points.

last car for the day was acrees car. its a 2.4L stroker, ported head, FP black, all the bolt ons, 1450cc injectors and a double pumper. running E85@32psi it put down 615whp and 589ftlb with the stock MAF in place. we will be converting it to Speed density shortly and get more numbers. we definately maxed the MAF out though... 630whp seems to be the absolute max you can make on this dyno with a MAF on the car.

Awesome!! White Evo looks amazing.

Now the question I have to ask. Is this a generous mustang dyno??

not at all. it readys slightly lower then cobbs mustang dyno around here which is regarded as normal reading. its on par with buschurs dyno from what people have said.

we expect a 600whp car on this dyno to do a low 10 1/4. joshs drag car will do mid 600's and can run a 6.3 @113 in the 1/8th

Thanks again to Kevin and his hard work. There will never be another person touch my car.

I wish I was present to see the other cars run today, but was definitely happy with my results.
