AAA any good

Is it good to use it. We will be traveling a lot this summer.

I might get the Premier one as idenity theft is included. I can use this to any car right as long as I'm a passenger?

In this day and age of cell phones and GPS's it isn't as big a deal, but you can get all the free paper maps you want from them as well. Hopefully you aren't in a position to need it, but their towing service is AWESOME. You can get towed up to 100 miles before you have to start paying.

You can definitely use it on any car. Hell, you don't even have to be there. I've used them for towing multiple times over the years. You just call, give them your member number, and tell them where the car is. You don't show your card or ID or even sign anything when the tow truck driver shows up, so you could call it in for anyone.

From: Tx,
ok im suprised with that, where is your place? i know they follow the member and not the car, and most of the other complaints was you need to be there. good for you.

I'm a premier member with AAA so I get one 200 mile tow and 3 100 mile tows,

the problem is if you need a jump start..it takes away a tow...so be careful what you call them for.

I remember looking into AAA vs Mitsu's own roadside assistance, and pricewise, and for as infrequently as I was expecting to *maybe* need it, it seemed like a good option. Don't you guys w/recent vintage X's still have that in fact? I thought it was like 3 yrs at least?

Yeah we do. I bought my X in May 2008 and my card thing says 5 years/unlimited miles from the original in-service date.

The coverage on it says:
  • 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
  • Towing for warrantable repairs
  • Flat tire change
  • Emergency Fuel and Fluid Delivery
  • Battery and Jump Start
  • Lockout Assistance
  • Concierge Service

So they can get out of just about any tow coverage.
