Big Cat Meet - May 19th
Please sign up so I can let them know we're coming!
Hey guys! Here's your opportunity to visit the International Exotic Animal Sanctuary in Boyd, TX. This is a great charity I have been working with for over a year.
It's a beautiful two hour tour through the grounds, and there are lions, tigers, bears (oh my) and tons of other large cats.
Tours are suggested donations of $20 for adults, $10 for children, and anything you give them is 100% tax-deductible as they are a non-profit. Tours are offered everyday at 11 AM and there is also an extra tour on Saturday at 3.
Ideally, if we can get a group of 10-15 people (but no more than 20) we can get our group in it's own semi-private tour on a weekend day. If anyone is up to go during the week, I won't be able to make it, but there's a good chance you'd have a private tour with a smaller group.
It's in a very pretty area, and if we get enough interest, we could do a cruise after, since I'm sure there's some nice back roads around Bridgeport and Boyd.

This is my adopted tiger, Titan:
Okay guys...so here's the plan! We can tweak it as needed to make sure everyone who wants to come out can make it.
Saturday May 19th
We need to be out there by 10:30 to get parking and get signed in. It's about 35 minutes from Grapevine. We'll be meeting at the Einstein Bros. Bagels in Southlake (off 114). We need to leave there by 9:45 or so to ensure parking at the sanctuary.
Please do not wear any bright, flashy colors or strong cologne. It's a bit of a walk, so comfy shoes are a must. I'd also recommend some water, though they do have some there for sale. Keep in mind kids must be over 7 years old to attend.
Please sign up with how many by May 17th so I can call ahead and let them know.

I'm interested, but I'll need advance notice of the date as I'd probably have to take a day off (especially if there's a cruise after).
I've been curious about this since I heard about it on the radio a couple of weeks ago.

Last time I checked, I was the only one that had adopted Titan so far, and I've never run into anyone else when I've been out to visit him. I'd be his favorite, anyway.

More than one person can adopt a specific animal there, unless there's a corporate sponsor or individual that is paying 100% of their care. I think they have a bobcat who is fully supported by its former owner, and one tiger is sponsored by a NASCAR driver (the tiger's name is Zippy).

We need to be out there by 10:30 to get parking and get signed in. It's about 35 minutes from Grapevine, so how about we meet somewhere off 114 past all the construction around 9:45? If anyone is interested in breakfast, there is an Original Pancake House in the area, and a Dennys, too.
Please do not wear any bright, flashy colors or strong cologne. It's a bit of a walk, so comfy shoes are a must. I'd also recommend some water, though they do have some there for sale. Keep in mind kids must be over 7 years old to attend.
