I'm hoping to have my lightweight seats and harnesses in by then with fresh street tires. My plans are to play it safe. No off road excursions.

My car has been known to bite the hand that feeds it -- twice -- especially when I feed to too much.

I know i'm raining on everyone's parade here, but
MSR doesn't allow riders on the 1.3. . . .
instructors only,
last time we pushed the envelope allowing novice to ride along w/advanced, not again
The 1.7 is not as strictly monitored, and i've had my Evo full of people like we're going to the mall!
I think at the end of the day we're planning another photo/video parade session with EVERY CAR on the track
That would be an opportunity to fill your car up w/spectators

^^^ I just want to clear something up for everybody, Kelly.

Instructors are the only passengers allowed in novice/intermediate driver's cars. Instructors can take passengers, though. Is this correct?

We're not going to be able to have riders in cars other than instructors

LOL true, I will run away if I see you near me on track Let's all play it safe, this is a fun social event not a W2W race. The goal is to have fun and get everyone and their expensive hardware home in one piece.

In fact I'll happily point by any Evos that want to go by, I just want some clear track to play on.

^Could not have said it better myself. I'll gladly be waving by anyone coming up quickly.

I'm sure it will be emphasized in the meeting - we all understand the risks, but let's have fun and be safe. Most of us are there in our street cars.

On a side note, I hope my new hardware makes it in time too!

If you didn't PayPal Don your cash, you've missed out by now.

I'm glad many people will be driving on their 'street' tires..
the 1.3 is pretty unforgiving for anyone that decides to leave the track w/out permission!!
1.3 section is usually slick in the morning from the drilling trucks that drive down the dirt roads a bit down the way, all the dust blows on to the track. Just be a little easy on your speeds for the first few sessions, especially including braking at the bottom of turn (3?) and before you go up the hill into the toilet bowl. its listed as #7 and #8 on the site. just some early morning "green" track advice.

its always the idea even at a W2W race that everybody including their vehicles return home in one piece. .
and agree'd, def. no wheel to wheel at a day like this, i guarantee they wont tolerate it, you will most likely end up sitting on the wall watching form the sides the rest of the day if you choose to though

Same here -- as much as I was looking forward to going and wanting to attend, I simply will not be able to.

SO WE HAVE 2 OPEN SLOTS -- JUSTIN E. AND JEREMY A.

I just emailed Don Herring Jr. -- he let me know that if someone wants to go in our places they can contact him via email, say they are going in our place, paypal him, and he will issue us a refund. So put the word out if 2 more people want to go.

Unfortunately, I am falling into the same boat. I am not going to be able to attend. I have emailed Don. So, if someone else wants to go, please let him know.
