Thanks. I went to Kerr's and also got an estimate from Severns'. Anyone have any experience with Severns?

Unrelated question: My oil was BLACK last time I changed it at exactly 3k. I'm using Mobil 1 synthetic (10w-30 I think, whatever is recommended stock). It is now on ~1800 miles and pretty dark. Is this normal for a car with a decent amount of mods and a tune? Any thoughts on what I should do other than keep on top of it?

my oil is always very dark when i change it as well. i try to hit as close to 3k as possible.

did you check it for any metal flakes or grit?

When I changed it last time, I didn't see anything like that in the pan. I just wanted to see if this was common with modded cars, or if I should be more worried.

i wouldn't be too concerned about it. even stock my oil has always been quite dark at change time.

does the viscosity still look good? any funny smells from, or anything else about it that you would think of as unusual?

I'll check again, but nothing else seemed off other than the color.

HER,
As cute and pleasant to be around as you may be, unfortunately you lack a Y chromosome so the above statement is as biased as it is preposterous.

you have yet to prove that your driving abilities are not suspect, but i suspect you'll do just fine

Does anyone have experience detailing???

Im thinking about purchasing a porter cable, some polishes and what not, and seeing what i can do about some swirls and scratches that have been bothering me. A guy i work with lives for this **** so i atleast have some guidance.

shawn (97talon420) and i had discussed wet sand and compound, but honestly the car is nowhere near bad enough to warrant something that extensive and risky.

any thoughts?

ps. mondo, i have seen your wheels; you are exempt from this inquiry
