Him: I can't inspect that.
Me: Why not?
Him: That won't pass inspection like that. (keep in mind he hasn't even looked at the vehicle).
Me: Why not? The cat and muffler are on it.
Him: Oh? What kind of muffler is on it.
Me: Just a special kind. (Like he would know what a Buschur Racing Bullet Muffler is.)
Him: Ok.

He then get me inspected.

I bet he says that to the Harley's that pull in as well. I never had a problem with him before, but never had this car to him since this was my first inspection. Kind of ticked me off, but since I don't want the hassle of going to another person. Oh and we don't have to get emission testing done.
You need to find a place that you can show repeat business. Sounds like these guys are haters of loud import cars. Ask him to pull out his decibel meter, properly using it prove that your car is too loud.

I doubt he is a hater of loud import cars only - sounds to me like he heard how loud it was and assumed it did not have a muffler or cat in place, once he was told everything was in place he was fine....I don't see the problem - he was covering his own butt

That is why I run the cat - never have any issues at inspection time

Probably was, but could have handled it better. Such as looking at the car first before making any statements about it not passing. Water under the bridge at this point. It's inspected for another year.

A story for the ages......

The freak show will soon be at moving to it's next destination for a limited engagement in Warrendale at the venerable "Mike's Garage and Playhouse"

Tickets are just $20 and all proceeds will go to help defray accumulated mental health costs associated with this "project"

Many lessons have been learned....Bottom line it WAS out of square.....It needed to be square , not diamond shaped... Five months later we are ready to start all over.......Now for the mental health cost..They can all be cured by one thing.....

Taking the beast for a run around the track....Happiness....

Merry Christmas to all....
